My Mother’s Love
On our last Mother’s Day together, my mother looked at me and said, “My baby.”
“Which baby?” my brother asked.
“My first baby.”
Her recognition and response are one of my most treasured memories.
That simple exchange captured the essence of my mother’s love.
Throughout my life, she was a source of faith, encouragement, and unwavering devotion to her family. She taught me that love is found not only in grand gestures, but also in everyday acts of kindness, sacrifice, and prayer.
Through her example, I came to understand that faith is not merely something we profess. It is something we live.
Her influence continues to shape my life, my family, and my writing. Though she is no longer with me, her love remains one of God’s greatest gifts.
